Granville K-6 PTO Auction 2014
Saturday, March 1 ~ 6pm ~ Apple Tree Auction Center
Proceeds from the event are used within our elementary and intermediate schools to fund:
Purchases of technology equipment
Outdoor educational atrium at GES
Cultural arts such as author,artist, illustrator and musician visits
Gym and playground equipment
Special happenings at the Auction:
Dunkin's Diamond Drop (100 glasses of champagne at $40 per glass, one lucky winner will find themselves the new owner of a $3500 3/4 carat diamond!). Sales begin at 6pm auction night.

Sign up NOW for 2013-2014 PTO volunteer needs at the link below! We're hoping to convert to online sign ups & save some paper! You can sign up for various committees and the chair will contact you with specific dates/times/items needed. There is a separate auction sign up: click here to sign up for helper shifts before or during the event! Terracycle News: Terracycle collections will be starting up again in January. We will only be accepting (3) collection categories, and you must turn your items in pre-sorted. Feel free to start collecting the following: Juice Pouches (any foil juice pouch, no boxes); Squeezable Fruit Foil Pouches (think Go-Go Sqeez); Foil Bar Wrappers (any foil lined snack or granola bar that comes in a FOIL wrapper). We apologize for the inconvenience, but items must be bagged separately by category -- these can be turned in near the library beginning January 6. The juice pouch cointainer will be in the Multi-Purpose Room! Any questions, please contact Cat Cameron-Pazera.
The Helpful Ace Place is the new PTO-sponsored school store at GIS -- store will be open every Tuesday morning before school. Kids can purchase assignment books, directories, notebooks, pens/pencils, and any hard to find items on their school supply lists, and also tissues, hand sanitizer and wipes. All proceeds from this shop directly benefit our schools. We are looking for helpers to run the store once a month -- email if interested!
Auction 2014: Help is needed during the auction, so if you're willing to work a shift (most are 1 to 1 1/2 hours), please go to this Sign Up Genius page. We are actively seeking sponsors and donated items for this event -- if you are interested, or have a good contact for donations, please click on the Auction 2014 tab for more info. We are also looking for donors for raffle baskets, with a $75 value! Contact the PTO if you'd like to help! And don't forget, auction tickets are now on sale! Assignment books for grades 2-6 are only available directly through the PTO for 2013-14. Kindergarten and 1st grades DO NOT need assignment books! You can order online under the school supplies tab, or simply send a note to school with your child's name/grade/teacher and $8 cash or check (payable to Granville K-6 PTO).

Like what the PTO is doing? Please consider donating if you haven't already this year! We take pride in the fact that GES/GIS students are not asked to sell candy, magazines and other items as fundraisers -- please help us keep this tradition alive! PTO funds help pay for cultural events like field trips, author visits, Science Nights, Reading Programs and so much more! All money raised through the PTO is used to enhance our kids' educational experience -- it's completely reinvested within our schools and may be tax deductible.
